Swing Shift Cinderella (1945) ****

Since this is a typical Tex Avery's film, one shouldn't really be surprised that it begins with Little Red Riding Hood running away from a hungry wolf. Fortunately, the Wolf quickly reads the credits, realizes the little girl is in the wrong picture, promptly sends her home and starts looking for Cinderella. He also meets her old fairy godmother, who chases him all through the film. Cinderella does a funny Betty Davis impersonation and performs a sexy song-and-dance solo "Oh! Woolfy", later reprised in "Little Rural Riding Hood" (1949).
